Export closed orders from the Exness Personal Area
According to the Exness Trading history help article, open the Personal Area, go to Trading, choose History of orders, select the account and time range, then choose Closed orders for completed activity. Use Download CSV to save the selected history. The exact controls may vary by account type or product, so follow the options currently shown in your own Personal Area.
Exness documents a maximum of 1,000 records for that CSV download. If the date range contains more, split the export into smaller non-overlapping periods. Keep a note of each period so you do not omit days or upload the same history twice.
For older MT4/MT5 history, the terminal’s Account History can also be used to save a statement; the MT4 guide and MT5 guide explain Edgelog’s platform sync options.
Check the file before you upload it
Open the CSV locally and look at the header row and a few closed-order rows. Confirm that the report is showing closed executions rather than only open orders or account balance events. Exness history can include information such as execution price, volume and transaction dates, but column names and available details can differ by report and account.
The field names you see in the exported file—not the help article’s description—determine what can be imported.
Edgelog’s importer needs a symbol or instrument, buy/sell direction, entry price, quantity or volume, and realized P&L for each row. Exit price, fees, open/close timestamps and a ticket identifier are useful if present. If the Exness export splits a position across partial closes or uses a report structure the importer does not recognize, do not force the columns.
Try a MetaTrader history report or ask support about a sanitized example instead.
Import and map the Exness CSV in Edgelog
- In Edgelog, open the account import flow and select CSV/Excel import. Create a dedicated Exness account or select the existing CSV account that represents the same Exness account.
- Upload the downloaded file. Edgelog reads the headings and proposes a mapping.
- Verify each required field in the preview. Direction values must resolve to buy or sell; a negative P&L must remain negative; size must represent trade volume rather than account balance.
- Check timestamps and time zones against one or two orders in Exness. If a column represents order placement rather than execution or close time, leave it unmapped instead of mislabeling it.
- Compare the preview’s trade count and net P&L with Exness’s closed-history view for exactly the same account and dates. Import only when the rows represent the trades you intend to review.
Keep account exports private
Before sharing an error report, remove the account number, name, ticket identifiers and balances. Do not share your Exness password or support PIN; Edgelog does not need either for CSV import. Keep your downloaded original in a private location and use only the minimum columns needed to troubleshoot a format issue.
What happens after importing
The imported trades appear in the selected Edgelog account and can be reviewed alongside your existing journal records. Add setup and mood tags, write notes, attach chart screenshots and compare performance over time. The CSV will not update itself when you trade again.
Export and import new history when you want to refresh it, or use the MT4/MT5 Expert Advisor sync when your Exness account is connected to a compatible MetaTrader desktop terminal.
If a column is not detected, see CSV column mapping. If the preview shows missing required fields, invalid dates or an unexpected trade count, use the CSV import troubleshooting guide. For the general process across other brokers, see the broker CSV import hub.
