Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Edgelog Trading (“Edgelog”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) and the trading journal available at edgelogtrading.com (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
The service
Edgelog is a record-keeping and journaling tool. It lets you log, sync, organize, and analyze your trading activity — including importing or syncing trades from MetaTrader 4/5, keeping notes and a playbook, and viewing performance analytics. Core journaling features are provided free of charge. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
Edgelog is not a broker, exchange, or trading platform. No trading, order placement, or trade execution happens on or through the Service. We do not handle funds, hold positions, or act on your behalf in any market — Edgelog only keeps a record of trades that occur elsewhere.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using Edgelog, you represent that you meet these requirements.
Your account
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for activity under your account.
- You must keep your login credentials and your sync API key confidential. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
- You may not share your account or let others use it on your behalf.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose.
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by overloading, scraping, or probing it without permission.
- Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service except as permitted by law.
- Upload content that is illegal, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share.
Your content and data
You retain ownership of the trades, notes, journal entries, strategies, and images you add to Edgelog (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, store, and process Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you. You can export your trades as CSV and delete Your Content or your account at any time from Settings, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Third-party connections
Edgelog can connect to third-party platforms such as MetaTrader 4/5 and brokers (via a read-only Expert Advisor sync) and Google (for sign-in). Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or actions. The EA sync is read-only and does not place, modify, or close trades on your broker account.
Not financial advice
Edgelog is a record-keeping, journaling, and analytics tool only. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and no content should be relied upon as such. Trading foreign exchange, crypto, and other instruments carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for everyone. You are solely responsible for your trading decisions and any resulting losses. Past performance shown in your journal does not guarantee future results.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service reliable, but we provide it on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time, and we may set reasonable limits on use. We are not liable for any unavailability, data sync delay, or loss of data outside our reasonable control.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Edgelog disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that synced data will be complete or accurate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Edgelog and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, trading losses, data, or goodwill arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that may cause harm to us or others. Upon termination, the rights granted to you under these Terms will end.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Edgelog operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
